Carl E. Watts, 58, of Endicott, passed away at Wilson Memorial Hospital, Sunday, February 7, 2010. He was predeceased by his parents John and Florence. He is survived by his wife Virginia; children, Daniel Watts; Robert and Dana Hopper; William Hopper; Andrew and Gretchen Hopper; Jenine and Anthony Bates and Kevin and Jacqueline Hopper; fourteen grandchildren; his brothers and sisters in law John and Linda Watts; Robert and Sandra Watts and Brooks and Kimberly Watts; father in law William McLaughlin; brother in law and sister in law Bill and Laurena McLaughlin; also several nieces; nephews; cousins, including special cousins the Slyman Family and many friends. He was a salesman with Serafini Nissan Volvo, Vestal, where he enjoyed the lasting friendships of both co-workers and customers. Carl was a former sports writer with the Binghamton Press and authored a book "The Men that Cooperstown Forgot". He was also a member of the Duca Degli Abruzzi Lodge #443, Order Sons of Italy in America.
Funeral Services will be held Wednesday 9:30 am from the Allen Memorial Home, 511-513 East Main Street, Endicott, followed by a Funeral Mass at St. Ambrose Church at 10 am. Burial will be in Riverhurst Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the Allen Memorial Home, Tuesday from 4-7 pm.
