Nancy A. Anderson, 74 passed away Sunday, March 7, 2010. Mrs. Anderson, the daughter of Howard and Ella Travis of Clark Summit, Pennsylvania and Owego, New York, was predeceased by her husband Robert W. Anderson and is survived by her two sons and their wives, David B. and Kathryn Anderson of Liverpool New York and Thomas R. and Anne B. Anderson of Medway Massachusetts, her brother and sister in law Erwin (Hank) and Vivian Ehrhardt of Vestal, sister in law and her husband Jean and Francis Ripp of Whispering Pines North Carolina, five grandchildren Steven, Richard, Lauren, Jacqueline and Benjamin and one great-grandchild Chance. Mrs. Anderson was raised by Florence and Roy Ehrhardt in Owego, New York and attended the Owego Free Academy and Wilson Nursing School graduating in 1957. She was extremely active in the community serving as President of Endicott Woman's Club and Broome Meals on Wheels. She was a member of the Vestal Community Chorus, Vestal United Methodist Women and Vestal United Methodist Church Choir. She had a life long love of music and taught piano from her home for many years.
Services will be held Saturday 2 pm from Vestal United Methodist Church, 328 Main Street, Vestal. Burial will be in Vestal Hills Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the Allen Memorial Home, 511-513 East Main Street, Endicott. In lieu of flowers it is requested that remembrances in the form of gifts be sent to the American Cancer Society, 13 Beech Road, Johnson City, NY 13790.
