Our beloved Joan (Cassidy) Shear, 76 of Endicott, passed from this life to the next on Wednesday, March 10, 2010. She was predeceased by her husband Roy Shear; son David Ondecko; parents Howard and Mildred Cassidy; brother Richard Cassidy; son in law George Hamilton and brother in law Earl Wheeler. She is survived by a son and daughter in law Robert and Christine Ondecko; and two daughters and a son in law Diane and Larry Sansky and Linda Hamilton and Jamie Szenher; eight grandchildren; a sister Betty Wheeler; brother and sister in law David and Lorraine Cassidy; sister and brother in law Ann and Terry Terrenoire; sister in law Joyce Cassidy and several nieces and nephews. She was a founding member of Our Lady of Good Counsel Church, Endicott and a member of the P.E.O. Chapter CL. Joan was loved by all who knew her.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Saturday 1:30 pm at Our Lady of Good Counsel Church, 701 West Main Street, Endicott. Burial will be in Vestal Hills Memorial Park Cemetery at the convenience of the family. The family will receive friends at the Allen Memorial Home, 511-513 East Main Street, Endicott, Friday evening from 5-7 pm. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy in Joan's memory may be made to the charity of one's choice.
