Biography

Antonio Paniccia, 85, of Endicott, died at his residence Saturday, January 21, 2012 surrounded by those who loved him. He was predeceased by his parents Giovanni and Loreta and a brother Giacinto. He is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Domenica who never left his side and his three children and spouses: Loreta (Patrick Hollenbeck); Anthony, and Mario (Rachel); his grandchildren whom he adored: Aurora, Monica, Michael, and Nicholas; brothers and sisters in law Quirino and Lucia Paniccia and Lino and Angela Roma; dear friends Al and Mamie Paniccia; Godchildren Al Paniccia, Jr. and Robert Grassi; also several nieces and nephews. He was a devoted member of St. Anthony of Padua Church, Endicott and a retired Endicott-Johnson Corp. employee, retiring after more than 35 years of service. The family is grateful for all the support and care given to Antonio during his illness especially his doctors, who went "above and beyond": Dr. A. Patel; Dr. Spera and especially Dr. Kashou. The family is also thankful for the staff of Wilson Memorial South and North Towers 3, his devoted home-care givers especially Joellen Macleod. He looked forward to daily prayer and Holy Communion with Sister Anisa which brought him great comfort. Antonio, after retirement, enjoyed traveling with his wife and family around the world. 
Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 10:30 am from the Allen Memorial Home, 511-513 East Main Street, Endicott, and will be followed by a Funeral Mass at St. Anthony of Padua Church at 11 am. Entombment will be in Calvary Cemetery, Johnson City. The family will receive friends at the Allen Memorial Home Tuesday from 4-7 pm.
