Biography
Jean M. Taylor, 86, passed away at her home Saturday, February 4, 2012. She was predeceased by her husband, Douglas Taylor in 2002, a sister, Jane Seymour and her parents, Irving and Gladys Groover. She is survived by two daughters and sons in law; Susan and John Hill, Cedar Rapids, Iowa, and Patricia and Albert Matoushek, Endicott, two sons and daughters in law; Bradford and Karen Taylor, Johnson City, and William and Deborah Taylor, Ithaca. Jean is also survived by ten grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, two sisters;
Betty Harrington, Maine, NY, Dorothy Denison, TX, and several nieces and nephews. She was a member of the Endwell United Methodist Church. Jean was deeply loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, 3 pm from the Allen Memorial Home, 511-513 East Main Street, Endicott, with the Reverend Vickie Maxon, Jean's special niece, officiateing Entombment will be in Riverhurst Cemetery, Endicott. The family will receive friends at the Allen Memorial Home Tuesday evening from 5-7 pm. Expressions of sympathy in Jean's memory may be made to the George F. Johnson Memorial Library, 1001 Park Street, Endicott, NY 13760 or to the Broome County Humane Society, 2 Jackson Street, Binghamton, NY 13903.
