Agnes E Murray (Healy), nee Flynn, of Vestal, NY aged 88, died on September 29, 2021 at Lourdes Hospital, Binghamton, NY. She was predeceased by her first husband, Thomas Murray; sisters, Margaret (Peggy) and husband Jack; Mary (Doll) and husband Buddy. She is survived by her husband, Thomas Healy in Dublin, Ireland from whom she was separated due to illness, her children: Thomas, his wife Cathy; Jeanne, her husband David; and Matthew; 6 grandchildren and 5 great grand children, and 30 nieces and nephews. She earned her PhD in psychology and practiced privately and in Mt Vernon City School District. Later in life (after Thomas Murray’s death) she moved to Ireland and married Thomas Healy. Despite the many tragedies in her life, she never ceased to maintain a positive and optimistic outlook on life. She will be sorely missed by many. Her passions included Amnesty International and fighting hunger.
Services will be held Sunday 12 pm from the Allen Memorial Home, 511-513 East Main Street, Endicott. The family will receive friends at the Allen Memorial Home Sunday from 11 am until service time at 12 pm. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made to Amnesty International or a food pantry of your choice.
