Albert “Al” Cromie

Albert R. Cromie, 86, passed away on December 22, 2022 peacefully at Mercy House, after a brief illness. Al was born in Pittsburgh, PA and was predeceased by his loving wife of 57 years, Elsie.
He was a wonderful father to four sons, Daniel (Brenda Baileys), Michael (Loretta), Kevin (Terry) and Timothy (Janine). Al was blessed with 6 grandchildren, Michael (Collins), Allison, Lauren, Emily, Ella and Nathan and a great-grandson, Shaw. In recent years, he was fortunate to enjoy the companionship of Rita Nossal.
Al was a Navy veteran, private pilot and a member of the Tri-Cities Airport Pilot Association and the EAA. He retired from IBM/Loral and was passionate about flying, spending time with family and volunteering. He was also an active member at Our Lady of Good Counsel Church. He will be missed greatly by his adoring family and his many friends.
The family wishes to extend their gratitude to the staff and volunteers at Mercy House for their care and compassion during Al’s final journey.
A funeral service will be held Saturday, January 7, at 10:30am at Our Lady of Good Counsel Church in Endicott, NY. Burial with military honors will follow at Riverhurst Cemetery in Endwell, NY. The family will receive friends at Allen Memorial Home, 511-513 East Main St, Endicott on Friday, January 6 from 4-7pm.
