Albert Vincent DeLuca beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend died on October 29, 2022. Born on March 31, 1949 to Dr. Paul and Dorothy DeLuca in Albany, New York. Al was the third of seven children, and he brought joy and laughter to his family and friends. He was predeceased by his parents and his sister JoAnn DeLuca Beall. He is survived by his beloved wife and love of his life Barbara and his children and Barbara’s children: Michael DeLuca(Cathie), Melissa DeLuca Stock (Will), Vicky Masi, Christina Kratky and John Masi. He is also survived by his brother Paul DeLuca (Florence), Lynda DeLuca, John DeLuca (Carole), Susan DeLuca, and Lisa DeMars (David). Most of all he leaves his grandchildren Maximus, Anthony, Noah, Ethan, Mason, Gianna, Calvin and Marshall. He also had many nieces and nephews and grand nieces and nephews who adored Uncle Al. Al had many friends and was always in touch with his Seton classmates. Albert graduated from Seton High School and LeMoyne College and spent a lifetime working in the car industry in many capacities. His love of cars was legendary, and his Porsche club and AER racing was his second home. Al passed on his love of cars to his son and grandsons and was so proud to be his son Michael’s radio man and crew chief at the track. He loved seeing Michael race and loved watching both Michael’s and Melissa’s boys’ sporting events. He cherished the quality time spent with Melissa and her family. Vicky, Christina and John thought of him as a father and he thought of them as his children. Al was the source of wisdom and he loved teaching and spending time with Mason, Gianna, Calvin and Marshall. The Family would like to express a special thanks to the “Angels” in UHS Wilson Medical Center’s ICU and South Tower 5. Special thank-you to Dr. Sethi for his care and compassion. Also thank you to all the special care-givers who touched Al’s life at UHS Wilson Medical Center.
A Funeral Mass will be held Friday, November 4th at 11 am at St. Anthony of Padua Church, 306 Odell Avenue, Endicott. The family will receive friends at Church Friday from 9 am until Mass time at 11 am.
