Amelia Leach of Endicott, died peacefully in her sleep Tuesday, April 21, 2015. She was predeceased by her parents Jerome and Coralie Ulatowski. She is survived by her husband Brian; two daughters Meghan Leach and Caitlin Leach, both of Owings Mills, MD; three sons Brian II and wife Karen Leach, San Francisco, CA; Christopher Leach, Endicott and Trevor Leach, Bel Air, MD; a sister Tina Ballin and other sisters and brothers. She was a member of Our Lady of Good Counsel Church, Endicott. Amelia attended Sherburne High School, John Hopkins, and Vassar School of Nursing. Over the years she worked as an Registered Nurse, taught nursing to LPN students, obtained her insurance licenses and then became a legal nurse consultant. Most recently she worked for the legal aid society as a social security disability advocate. Amy Leach will be most remembered as “Momma Leach” for the numerous lives she touched. She was an avid golfer, loved gardening, and was an active member of the community.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Saturday 10 am at Our Lady of Good Counsel Church, 701 West Main Street, Endicott. The family will receive friends at the Allen Memorial Home Friday from 4-7 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her name to Sidney Kimmel Comprehensive Cancer Institute at John Hopkins, The Harry and Jeanette Weinberg Building, Suite 1100, 401 North Broadway, Baltimore, Maryland 21287.
