Americo Valeriani

Americo Valeriani, 70 of Endicott, passed away, Wednesday, October 29, 2014 at Vestal Nursing Center at Willow Point Nursing Home. Orphaned as a child in Italy, he was raised by his aunt and uncle, Dominica and Peter Ciacelli of Endicott. As an adult, he was employed by Endicott Johnson Shoe Company and was known as an expert in diagnosing the case of production problems. In his younger years, he enjoyed playing softball and coaching little league baseball. Later in life he found comfort and peace as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses and spent considerable time sharing his hope for the future with others. He is survived by his cousins Armando Ciacelli and his wife Anita, Ann Rossi, Georgianna D’Aloisio and Frank Ruggieri, husband of his deceased cousin Carol. He will be missed not only by his relatives but by his many brothers and sisters in the local congregations of Jehovah’s Witnesses. He looked forward intently to the near further when conditions stated at Isaiah 33:24 will be realized and “no resident will say I am sick”. The family would like to say a special thanks to the care givers at Vestal Nursing Home and Willow Point Nursing Home that have taken such good care of him over the past several years.
Services will be held privately at Allen Memorial Home, 511-513 East Main Street, Endicott. There will be a memorial talk open to all at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 749 Vestal Parkway West, Vestal, 7 pm, Monday, November 3, 2014.
