Angela Cooney

Angela M. Cooney passed away Wednesday December 27th 2023 surrounded by her immediate family.
Angela is survived by her devoted husband of 59 years, Laverne T. Cooney, her daughter Teresa Cooney Shellhammer (Timothy Shellhammer) of Wilmington, NC, her son Carl S. Cooney (April Geiger Cooney “Mom’s super hero”), her brother and friend James T. Maguire (Willie Maguire). Her treasured grandchildren, Emily Shellhammer Benson(John Benson), Sara Shellhammer (Simon Toone), Eli R. Shellhammer, Christina Palmieri (Michael Christie). Also surviving great grandchildren, Weston and Waylon Benson, Sawyer and Saylor Toone, Hendrix and Lennon Christie. All living in North Carolina, as well as several nieces and nephews.
Angela was predeceased by her parents James and Constance Maguire, her brother Francis Maguire, her sisters Patricia Miner, Catherine Applegate, Joan Meca, Marie Allen. Also her dear friend, Debbie Gallo.
Viewing hours will be at Allen Memorial Home 511-513 East Main Street Endicott NY 13760, on January 10, 2024, from 2 pm until service time at 4 pm.
