Angelo Roma

Angelo “Papa” Roma, 84, of Endicott, passed away Monday, March 27, 2023. He was born in Ceccano, Italy in1938 to the late Fernando and Lucia Roma. Angelo was a loving and devoted husband, father and Papa to his beloved wife Marie (Cavese), cherished daughters Angela (Christopher) Toth and Lora (Scott) Koons, the joys of his life, his grandchildren Katelyn and Kristen Toth, and Thomas Koons, sisters Marietta Roma and Antonette (John) Roma, his brother Antonio (Franca) Roma, and many dear brothers in law, sisters in law, nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was a member of St. Anthony of Padua Church, Enjoie Golf Course and the Ducca Degli Abruzzi Lodge #443, Order Sons of Italy in America, all of Endicott. Angelo was a retired Town of Union employee with 30 years of service and a retired barber with 40 years of service. He had many passions in life including golf, his garden, spending winters in Florida and traveling to Italy.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Friday 11 am at St. Anthony of Padua Church, 306 Odell Avenue, Endicott. Burial will be in Vestal Hills Memorial Park Cemetery at the convenience of the family. The family will receive friends at church Friday from 10 am until Mass time at 11 am. In lieu of flowers expressions of sympathy in his memory may be made to Mercy House of the Southern Tier, 212 North McKinley Avenue, Endicott, NY 13760.
