Angelo Roma, 93, of Endicott, NY, passed away, at home, on May 23, 2022.
Angelo was born in Ceccano, Italy on August 18, 1928. He married Maria Fiori on April 26, 1952. Courageously, in 1971, he immigrated with his wife and three children to Endicott. A talented landscaper and devoted member of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic church, Angelo enjoyed tending to his many gardens on the Northside, as well as spending time and sharing the bounty of those gardens with friends and family.
Angelo is survived by his loving wife, with whom he shared 70 blessed years of marriage, Maria Roma, children: Arduina Ricci, Maria (Angelo) Pirri, and Renato (Dena) Roma, grandchildren: Lisa (Joseph) DeVincentis, Matthew (Julie) Ricci, Anna (Gabriel) Osterhout, Adriana (Brandon) Roma, and Erik Roma, and great-grandchildren: Antonio and Isabella DeVincentis, Evan Ricci, and Lorenzo Osterhout. He is also survived by his brothers: Italo (Sylvia) Roma and Domenico (Luigina) Roma (of Italy), as well as many cherished nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his parents, Luigi and Teresa Roma, as well as his brother Vincenzo Roma, son-in-law Mario Ricci and many other special family and friends.
The family would like to thank Dr. John Bertini and Lourdes Hospice nurses for their compassionate care.
We will miss you and hold you in our hearts until we are reunited in God’s heavenly garden.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated 10:30 am, Saturday at St. Anthony of Padua Church, 306 Odell Avenue, Endicott. Entombment will be in Calvary Cemetery, Johnson City. The family will receive friends at church Saturday from 9:30 am until Mass time at 10:30 am.
