Ann L. Hujar, 84, of Binghamton passed away peacefully while surrounded by her loving family on Saturday, January 27, 2024. She was predeceased by her husband, Richard, of 54 years, her parents, Urban and Elizabeth Williams, brother, Glenn, sisters-in-law, Judith Hujar, Joyce Hujar, Carole Williams and Chris Reimer and brother-in-law, John Broadhurst. She is survived by her three children and their spouses, David and Nancy Hujar, Mark Hujar and Debbie and Tom Zarzycki; two grandsons, Steven and Matthew Zarzycki; two granddaughters, Marissa and Megan Subik, also several nieces, nephews and cousins as well as countless friends including special close friends, Kay and Dave Casler and Jerry and Donna Lawrence. Ann was a registered nurse for 45 years, finishing her career as the charge nurse on the maternity floor at Lourdes Hospital. She served as Treasurer and Vice President of the Ladies of Columbus, Johnson City, NY for several years. She also served as Secretary for Broome County Democratic Women and volunteered at the Johnson City Senior Center. In her spare time, she loved making cards, stamp club and crocheting. Her grandchildren were the light of “Nana’s” life.
Friends and family may call at Allen Memorial Home Inc., 511 East Main Street, Endicott, NY, Thursday, February 1st, from 4PM-6PM. Funeral will be offered at 10AM Friday at Allen Memorial Home. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in Ann’s memory can be made to Every Cat’s Dream or the American Cancer Society.
