Ann Townsend

Ann (Charma) Townsend, 99 ½, of Endicott, born Christmas Day 1923, passed away on June 15, 2023.
She was predeceased by her husband of 60 years, John “Jack” Townsend: her grandson David M. Townsend; six brothers, Andrew Charma, Mike (Betty) Charma, John (Mary) Charma, Steve (Millie) Charma, Paul (Arlene) Charma, Joe (Lorraine) Charma; and one sister Mary “Mickey” (Iggy) Giacovelli; One brother-in-law Herbert (Lorraine) Townsend, and one sister-in-law Jane (Harold) Keck.
She is survived by her two sons, John “Jack” (Jane) Townsend, Endicott; Robert “Bob” Townsend of Columbus GA.; 16 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great grandchildren and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A devoted matriarch, she was a constant source of love, providing a never ending supply of crocheted keepsakes, and the BEST Slovak food and baked goods. She was GRANNY to all, always the life of the party, outdancing every generation.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, 6/20 at Church of the Holy Family, 3600 Phyllis Street, Endwell, from 10 -11am, followed by a Funeral Mass and internment at Riverhurst Cemetery, Endicott
