Anna Bligh

Anna A. Bligh, 82, of Endicott, passed away at UHS Wilson Memorial Hospital on Thursday, November 17, 2016. Predeceased by her parents Florence Scarry, John Cronin and Pop Scarry, husband Robert J. Bligh Sr., brothers in law Charles Collins, Ralph Schmahl, Paul Curtin, and Glen Baker. She is survived by her son and daughter in law Robert and Kimberly Bligh, Bakersfield, CA; three daughters and sons in law Debra and Jeff Gernhart, Endicott; Myra and Jerry Russell, Binghamton, Theresa and John Noce, Endicott, eleven grandchildren, Joshua, Daniel, Kaitlyn , Ellie, Jonathan, Sarah, Gaige, Alex, Kellen, Anthony and Paige. Also survived by sisters Julia Baker, Quincy IL; Margaret Collins, Quincy, IL, a sister and brother in law Rose Ann and George Parks, Valley Stream, NY; a brother and sister in law John and Pat Cronin, Dumont, NJ; a sister in law Joan Curtin, Endicott; several nieces, nephews and cousins. Ann was a member of Our Lady of Good Counsel Church, Endicott. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family and friends. She loved to cook for them and share fun times over cups of tea and treats at the kitchen table. She enjoyed sharing pictures and family life on Facebook, going out to eat with her special friend Rose Mary Mertens, jigsaw puzzles, Hallmark Movies, game shows and playing cards and games with her family. She was a beautiful person who loved unconditionally and found the joy and good in every situation in her life. She always put others before herself and if anyone needed assistance, she was there to help. She was an angel on Earth who served others with great dignity and grace. She will be dearly missed. The family will receive friends at Our Lady of Good Counsel Church on Saturday, November 26th from 10:30 am to noon. A funeral mass will follow. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy in her memory may be made to the American Heart Association or Mended Hearts UHS Wilson Medical Center 33-57 Harrison St., Decker 3 Johnson City, NY 13790.
