Annamae Rude

Annamae Rude, 94, May 3, 1930 — September 11, 2024, entered the Kingdom of Heaven after a brief illness. Annamae was a long-time resident of Maine, NY and most recently resided at Castle Gardens in Vestal, NY.
Annamae was predeceased by her husband Richard in 1974. She is survived by her only child, Robert Rude and wife Maureen O'Shea Rude, of Miromar Lakes, Florida and Endwell, NY. She is also survived by granddaughters Mary Meisner (Daniel) of Horseheads, NY; Katherine Rude (Joseph Floridino) of South Portland, Maine; and great grandchildren Logan, Libby, and Layne Meisner of Horseheads, NY as well as many nieces and nephews.
Annamae was employed by the Maine Endwell Central School District, working in the Food Service Department, retiring in 1992 after 32 years of service. Her baking skills became legend, especially her chocolate chip cookies and her macaroni and cheese, enjoyed by generations.
Annamae was also a loyal member of the First Baptist Church of Maine, NY for over 60 years, where she played the organ, accompanied on the piano, and sang in the church choir.
The family would like to thank Madison and the United Health Services Palliative Care Team, UHS Chaplain John, and all the nurses and staff for their expertise, kindness, and compassion. The family would like to especially thank Marge McNeish and Debbie and Kerry Collins for their consistent friendship and assistance provided to Annamae through the years.
The family will receive friends at the Allen Memorial Home, 511-513 East Main Street, Endicott, Tuesday, September 17 from 3:30 - 5:30 pm. Burial will be in Maine Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that any gifts or contributions be provided to the First Baptist Church of Maine, https://www.fbcmaine.org, or to The Muscular Dystrophy Association, Inc., www.mda.org.
