Our daddy, who was our world, Anthony David Abbadessa of Johnson City, 80, went into the Lords hands on his mother’s birthday, Thursday, May 10, 2018. He is predeceased by his parents, Sebastian and Philomena Abbadessa; daughters, Karen and Rose. He is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, who hasn’t left his side, Rosemary. Tony and Rose lived in Johnson City and raised four children who cherished every second with him, Maria (Stephen) Lansing, Laura (Fran) Gray, Anthony (Natalie) Abbadessa, and Vincent (Alicia) Abbadessa. We feel so blessed to have had him for a Dad. He was our biggest fan and supported us in everything we did in life, no questions asked. He will be missed by nine grandchildren who loved their Pop, Taylor, Sydney, Alexis, Christian, Jude, Sebastian, Dominic, Vincenzo and Hudson; a sister, Rose Gregoris and brother Thomas (Debbie) Abbadessa. He was loved by so many including several nieces and nephews. Our Dad was the kindness and most giving man, who did everything for his family. He really enjoyed having his whole family at home laughing around the table telling stories. Anthony was a member of Church of the Holy Trinity in Binghamton, NY, and the Johnson City Knights of Columbus. He was the owner of Crescent Cleaners on Clinton Street in Binghamton.
Funeral Services will be held Tuesday at 9:15 am from the Allen Memorial Home, 511-513 East Main Street, Endicott, followed by a Funeral Mass at Church of the Holy Trinity, 346 Prospect Street, Binghamton at 10 am. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Johnson City. The family will receive friends at the Allen Memorial Home Monday from 4-7 pm. Expressions of sympathy in his memory may be made to Church of the Holy Trinity.
