Anthony Ferrara

Anthony Ferrara, 90, of Whitney Point, NY, formerly of Yonkers, NY, passed away Saturday, September, 27, 2014 at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital, Binghamton after a brief illness. He was predeceased by his wife, Ludwiga Ferrara in May, 2013; a brother, Mark Ferrara and a sister, Mary Ferrara. He is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Linde (Ferrara) and Joe Pinto, Whitney Point, NY; two sisters, Madeline Iazzetta and Anne Ferrara, both of Bayonne, NJ; three brothers, Joseph, Angelo and Patrick Ferrara, all of Bayonne, NJ. Mr. Ferrara retired from the Novartis Corp. after 35 years of service. He was an avid tennis player, skier, gardener and wine maker. He loved traveling, reading, the opera and jazz.
Funeral Services will be held Wednesday 1 pm from the Allen Memorial Home, 511-513 East Main Street, Endicott, with Deacon Thomas Harley officiating. Burial will be in Vestal Hills Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the Allen Memorial Home Wednesday from 12 pm until service time at 1 pm.
