Also, his maternal grandparents Marion and Mattie Sciamanna. He is survived by a loving sister Sharon Snow that valued the brother/sister relationship that they have always had together; brother in law Don Snow. His nephew DJ Snow (Tanis) and their children Donald (Rayann), Cody (Mary), Tucker, and Rachael Snow. His niece Nicole (Russ) Weist and their children Mitchell, Brockton and Olivia. He was a Great uncle whose interests and many talents were admired by all 7 of his great nieces and nephews, along with his great great niece and nephews Stella, Colton, Donald, and Jacob. Loving Aunts; Edith Sciamanna and Inez Gigliotti that he routinely picked up and drove to his sister’s Sunday dinners. Also, survived by his loving Aunt Gail Sciamanna. Special cousins; Donna Golkin, Kim Hayden, Lori Sciamanna, Mike Sciamanna and countless other cousins. Anthony was also richly blessed with the love of many people from near and far including relatives in Eynon, Pa, Union City, Pa, El Dorado Hills, CA and the Senhorini and Seixas families from Brazil. The family wishes to extend a special thank you to his countless lifelong friends that shared his many interests such as riding motorcycles, stock car racing, model airplanes, gardening, fishing/hunting, Friends Diner and simply good times together. He spoke often of his friends and their good times together. Anthony was all about living life each day with one’s true happiness in mind.
Tony was a 1974 graduate of Vestal High School, where he was a part of the wrestling team and the “Big Belly Backfield” football team. He was a college graduate of SUNY Delhi for mechanics where he wrestled in college in the heavyweight/ unlimited division, that his great nephews and nieces enjoyed hearing stories about. He went on to work at International Binghamton Truck, NYSDOT (Binghamton and Oneonta) and Motor Equipment Maintenance Supervisor for SUNY Cortland, which he retired from. Anthony was the type of person that would stand strong with his beliefs while also being open minded to hear someone else’s opinion. He truly enjoyed life with friends, family and his interests. Please take the time in Anthony’s honor to take a motorcycle ride, drink a beer and tell some stories of good times. He will always be in our hearts and a part of our lives with the life lessons he has taught us all, he will be greatly missed by all.
A Funeral Mass will be held Tuesday April 13 at 10:30 am at Most Holy Rosary Church, 2596 Main Street, Maine, NY. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Johnson City. The family extends an invitation to all of Anthony’s friends and family for his Celebration of Life at The Airport Inn, Binghamton.
