Arduina Ricci

d. May 3, 2024

Arduina (Roma) Ricci, 71, of Endwell, passed away peacefully at home, on May 3, 2024, after a brave battle against cancer.
Arduina was born in Ceccano, Italy on April 11, 1953. She immigrated to America in 1971 with her family and married her life-long love, Mario Ricci, on September 30, 1971. After immigrating, she worked at Endicott-Johnson for 25 years and then at Buckingham Manufacturing, where she made many life long friends. She was a devoted member of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church. Arduina’s greatest joy was spending time with her family and friends, bringing them together with her amazing cooking and baking. She always looked forward to her annual vacation with her grandchildren to Ocean City, Maryland.
Arduina is predeceased by her loving and devoted husband, Mario. She is survived by her children Lisa and Joseph DeVincentis, Matthew and Julie Ricci; her grandchildren whom were the light of her life, Antonio and Isabella DeVincentis and Evan Ricci; siblings Maria and Angelo Pirri, Renato and Dena Roma; sisters in-law and brothers in-law, Domenica and Giuseppe Bucciarelli and Terenzio and Giusepinna Ricci (Ceccano, Italy); cherished neices and nephews Anna, Adriana, Erik, Rosalba, Antonio, Valeria, Ilenia, and all of their families; and many special uncles, aunts, cousins and cherished friends who were like sisters. She was also predeceased by her parents, Angelo and Maria Roma, in-laws Armando (Amedeo) and Loreta Ricci, and special uncle Italo Roma.
The family would like to offer our sincere thanks and gratitude to Dr. Rachel Grisham and her team at Memorial Sloan Kettering. We would also like to thank Jessica, Dave, Ted, Sally and Denise who took great care of Arduina during her stay at Wilson Memorial Hospital. We could not have endured this difficult time without Alanna, Josh, and Mike from UHS Twin Tier Home Health. Finally, our sincere gratitude to Amy and Tammy, for their kind and compassionate care of Arduina.
Arduina’s strong will, tenacity, and passion will forever remain present in those lucky enough to have known her and be loved by her. You have left us with a broken heart. We have lost a mother, nonna, sister, zia, and friend. While we are saddened to say goodbye, we are certain the heavens are rejoicing for they have gained an angel.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10am, Friday, May 10th, at St. Anthony of Padua Church, 300 Odell Avenue, Endicott, followed by entombment at Calvary Cemetery, Johnson City. The family will receive friends at Allen Memorial Home, 511-513 East Main Street, Endicott, Thursday, May 9th from 5pm to 7pm.
In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy in Arduina’s memory may be made to: Stand up to Cancer P.O. Box 843721 Los Angeles, CA 90084-3721
