Arleen Therese Longstrom (McGinness), July 22, 1946 -December 31, 2024.
Arleen was born in Brooklyn, NY to Virginia (Hibner) and Frank McGinness.
She attended secretarial school and worked throughout Manhattan, Long Island and New York State. She retired from the NYS Department of agriculture and settled down to spend her last years in Speonk, NY.
She had three children: Edward Longstrom, Ann Majka, and Elaine Yoder. She was a constant reader and loved her lifelong friend Barbara Platas, Westhampton Beach, the Quogue Wildlife refuge, and works by Rachel Carson.
She was predeceased by her mother, father, aunt Regina Hibner of East Quogue, NY, and brother Frank McGinness of Queens NY.
