Beatrice “Betty Jo” Campbell

Beatrice J (Betty Jo) Campbell (Scrufari) passed away on Wednesday Feb 21 2024. Beatrice was born on 3/13/35 to Joseph and Beatrice Scrufari. She is predeceased by her loving husband, Raymond, her parents and her sisters Lou Lou and Toni. She is survived by her sisters Kate and Carol, her daughter Debbie Bedford and her husband Jeffrey, her granddaughter Jennifer Kokinda and her husband John, and her grandson Matthew Bedford. She is also survived by her great grandchildren John and Morgan Kokinda.
BJ, as she was known to many, loved looking after children for many years, at her home and as a teacher at Headstart. She loved doing activities, arts and crafts and taking the kids on field trips all over Broome County and beyond. She loved their laughter and watching them grow and she kept all the things they made for her. She also loved to bowl, swim and go on road trips with her family where she would often find side roads for them to take just to see where they went. She will be missed by many.
Private services were held for the family at Vestal Hills Cemetery.
