Betty Farley

Betty B. Farley, 86, of Endicott, formerly of Vestal and Laceyville, born August 17, 1934, went peacefully home to our Lord on June 29, 2021, after a brief battle with pancreatic cancer. She passed at home surrounded by loved ones. Betty was a kind, sweet lady who appreciated the simple things in life, family, friends, and food. She was a great cook, making many of her delicious dishes from memory and showed her love for her family through this skill. Her family treasured the many meals they shared. She always had a smile on her face and the question she was most asked was “How can you be so happy all the time?” She lived her life selflessly and always put others needs first. She will be deeply missed by all. She was preceded in death by her husband, Francis and her brothers, Doug and Peter. She is survived by 6 sons and daughters-in-law, William and Joy, David and Debra, Thomas and Shirley, Timothy and Mary Jane, Edward and Penny, Patrick and Nicole; 10 grandchildren, Keegan, Keller, Brandon, Erin, Justin, Shane, Christopher, Jessica, Shannon, Meaghan; 5 great-grandchildren, Finn, Piper, Aimie, Marc, Riley; 2 sisters, Nancy Johnson and Patty Lyman and several nieces and nephews. She was a devoted member of Our Lady of Sorrows Church, Vestal. She was retired from Vestal Nursing Center. She loved to visit with all her friends at the Vestal Senior Center. As Betty would always say “Stay strong!”
A Funeral Mass will be held Monday, July 12 at 10 am at Our Lady of Sorrows Church, 801 Main Street, Vestal. Burial will be held privately in St. John Cemetery, Flynn, PA. The family will receive friends Sunday, July 11 from 1-3 pm at the Allen Memorial Home, 511-513 East Main Street, Endicott. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to Our Lady of Sorrows Church, the Diabetes Association or a charity of your choice.
