Beverly Jean Simmons, 85, of Apalachin, NY died peacefully Saturday, February 29, 2020, at home surrounded by her loving family. She was predeceased by her husband Donald (Jerry) Simmons; her parents, George Wylam and Eunice Mittan; her cousin, Thomas Brierley and her Aunt Beatrice and Uncle Mowry Park. She is survived by her children, Darcy and Lawrence Wills, Damon Simmons; grandsons Mason and Lawson Wills; special cousins Sunny, Maureen and Sarah Park-Palia. Beverly was born in Endicott, NY and grew up in Endicott, NY, graduating from Union Endicott High School and Albany State University. She had long and rewarding career at Broome County Child Protective Services. Beverly was an avid hockey fan starting with the Binghamton Whalers and ending with the Binghamton Devils. Beverly touched many lives and will be dearly missed but she will always have a special place in all of our hearts.
Funeral Services will be held Saturday 11 am at the Allen Memorial Home, 511-513 East Main Street, Endicott, with Pastor Mark Kimpland officiating. Burial will be in Riverhurst Cemetery, Endicott, at the convenience of the family. The family will receive friends at the Allen Memorial Home Saturday from 10 am until Service time at 11 am. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of Beverly Simmons to the Between the Pipes Fund Scholarship c/o Southern Tier Hockey Association, PO Box 2765, Binghamton, NY 13902-2765.
