Blanche Elizabeth “Betty” Parson

Blanche Elizabeth Parson, Bettie Sykes, 99, of Good Shepherd Village in Endwell, NY and formerly of Endicott, passed away at Good Shepherd Village on June 18, 2024. Bettie was born in Dubois, PA on May 13, 1925.

She is pre-deceased by her loving husband Philip O. Parson; her daughter, Cynthia Murphy; parents Harriet and Winfield Sykes; and siblings Winfield, Robert, Jack, and Patricia.

She is survived by her son P. Gary, his wife Kathleen of Endicott and their daughter Melissa, her husband Mario, and great-granddaughters, Katherine and Olivia of Santa Monica, CA; sons, Michael, Boston, MA, and Daniel, Binghamton, NY; and grandson, Philip Belleman, his fiancee Emily and great-grandchildren, Jordan and Gianna of Baldwin, NY. Bettie is a graduate of Union Endicott High School and graduated with a nursing degree from Wilson Memorial Hospital. She loved and enjoyed her family, gardening, cooking, traveling and ballroom dancing.
A private memorial and internment service will be held at Vestal Hills Memorial Park in the Tower of Memories Mausoleum on Friday, June 21, 2024. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made in Bettie’s memory to the Good Shepherd Village Communities Foundation at Endwell, 607-757-3100.
