On Sunday, November 9, 2014, Bonnie L. Pickering of Vestal, NY passed away after a brief illness. Born Bonnie Lee Crooks in 1945, she is predeceased by her husband, William B. Pickering in 2006; her parents, Thomas Sr. and Edna Crooks; her brothers, Samuel and Thomas Crooks Jr.; and her brother in law, Virgil Wyatt. She is survived by her daughter and son in law, Sheri and Aaron Palm; her grandsons, Erik and Alexander; her sister, Shirley Wyatt; sister in law, Cheryl Crooks; and many loving nieces, nephews, and cousins. Bonnie graduated from Vestal High School and SUNY-Delhi. Over the years she was employed in local radio, IBM, Kodak, and as office manager for Spring Tree Village, Inc. She enjoyed fishing, traveling, reading, golfing and spending time with her family.
Funeral and Interment Services will be held Sunday 4 pm from the Allen Memorial Home, 511-513 East Main Street, Endicott, with the Reverend Jose Valencia officiating. Burial will be in Vestal Hills Memorial Park Cemetery, Vestal, at the convenience of the family. The family will receive friends at Allen Memorial Home Sunday from 2 pm until service time at 4 pm. In lieu of flowers expressions of sympathy in Bonnie’s memory may be made to the American Cancer Society, 13 Beech Street, Johnson City, NY 13790.
