Cherished mother, companion, sister and friend, Brenda Halpin, passed away unexpectedly at the age of 37. She is survived by her 9 year old daughter, Chloe Phommachanh; partner, Sip Phommachanh and siblings, David Halpin (Holly) and Susan Papathomopoulos (Petros). In addition, she leaves behind numerous family and friends who will always remember Brenda for her quiet strength and compassion. Brenda was a graduate of Maine Endwell Senior High School and Broome Community College. Raised in Endicott, NY Brenda then spent several years in the Lancaster, PA region before returning to the Binghamton area a few years ago. Over the years, Brenda enjoyed traveling with close friends and family to destinations throughout the US as well as to Ireland and Greece. Her memory will be present each time we find ourselves about to enjoy a favorite book, sipping a cup of coffee heavy on the cream and sugar, sitting down to a delicious bowl of alfredo, gazing upon the glow of the moon and stars or when we see a cheerful daisy bobbing in the breeze. May Brenda’s humble, caring nature and kind thoughtfulness inspire each of us in our actions.
Family will receive friends Friday, May 20th from 4pm-7 pm at Allen Memorial Home, 511 East Main Street, Endicott, to be followed by a 7 pm Memorial Service. Burial will be in Riverhurst Cemetery at the convenience of the family. Donations in Brenda’s memory may be sent to Huntington’s Disease Society of America athdsa.org/how-to-help/tributes-memorial-gifts/
