Carol Hemenway

On December 8, 2016, Carol (Jones) Hemenway, 76, of Endicott, NY, passed away at home surround by family. Carol was predeceased by her husband Arthur Hemenway, her son Charles Hemenway, her sisters Marean and Marjorie, and a brother Elwin (Joe). She is survived by her daughter Tami Hemenway and son-in-law George Klym, and her son Scott Hemenway. She is also survived by her sister Eleanor (Jean) Kodish, grandchildren Tallon Williams, Tia (Gabe) Tennant, Bret Hemenway, Mark (Kayliegh) Hemenway, Melissa Stevens, and 6 great-grandchildren, Xavier, Corbin, Celia, Abigail, Emma, and Vinny, many nieces and nephews, and her cat Shadow. She also wanted to thank two special friends, life-long friend Joyce Bennett and her niece Shirley Sopka for helping her during this time. Carol was a loving and caring person. She was a strong and independent woman. All who knew her loved her dearly. She will be missed by all the people who entered into her life. A special thanks goes out to her neighbors and the Hospice staff who took special care of our Mom.

In lieu of flowers, please respect her wishes that a contribution be made in her name to the Hospice Foundation. Viewing and services will be held Tuesday December 13, 2016, from 11:30 am to 12:30 pm at Allen Memorial Home, 511-513 East Main Street Endicott. Burial will be immediately after at Riverhurst Cemetery.
