Catherine Ciufo

Catherine F. Ciufo, 89 years old, passed away peacefully Sunday, August 2, 2015 at James G. Johnston Hill Top Campus Home. She was predeceased by her husband Charles M. Ciufo, an infant daughter, her parents Francis and Anna Neduchal, a sister Irene Hoffman, a brother Peter Neduchal and several dear sisters in law and brothers in law. She is survived by her special sister, Maryan Sbarra. In addition, she is survived by her nine children, Diane (Richard) Avery, Charles R. Ciufo, William Ciufo, Michael Ciufo, Catherine (Roberto) DeVincentis, James Ciufo, Gerard (Susan) Ciufo, Robert (Annette) Ciufo, and Lisa (Richard) Megyesi. She is also survived by her 32 grandchildren and 27 great grandchildren along with a very large and loving extended family. She had many friends both in this area and Port St. Lucie, Florida where she resided during the winter months for more than twenty years. Our mother was most proud of her large family. She loved babies and everything about babies. She loved every one of her children and grandchildren and would relate stories about them to anybody and everybody. She will be greatly missed but her strong religious faith will live on in each and every one of us. She is with her Heavenly Father whom she loved above all. Our prayer warrior is at peace now. A special thanks to her caregiver, Ann Pierce, who was kind and compassionate. Also, we would like to express our appreciation to all others who took care of her in her final days.
Funeral services will be held Saturday 10 am from the Allen Memorial Home, 511-513 East Main Street, Endicott followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:30 am at Our Lady of Good Counsel Church. Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery, Johnson City at the convenience of the family.
