Charles “Chuck” Sosnowsky

Charles Sosnowsky of Vestal New York, age 86, passed away at home on September 23, 2021, surrounded by his loving family. Charles is predeceased by his infant son Michael David; parents Mary and John; brothers Steven, Joseph and Michael; sisters Anne Kozo and Mary Neupauer. He is survived by his wife Dolores; daughters Kimberly Dempsey and Alyssa Wagner; son Peter Sosnowsky and Michele Transue; grandchildren Jillian (Dempsey) and Matt Fiene, Matthew Dempsey, Michael Wagner, Thomas Wagner and Cassidy Kruse, Tatiana and Alicia Sosnowsky, Daniel Wagner and Abigail Wagner; great grandson Cameron Dempsey; sister Julie Haas and several nieces and nephews. Chuck attended Lehigh University and served in the U.S. Army before beginning his 26 year career as an electrical engineer at IBM. After retirement, he enjoyed part-time work at a local Hess Mart however his passion centered around his grandchildren and their sports, attending every practice and game, providing snacks and keeping stats. He also spent a lifetime watching the Buffalo Bills and Buffalo Sabres with his family. He will forever hold a special place in our hearts.

Funeral Services will be held Tuesday 1 pm from the Allen Memorial Home, 511-513 East Main Street, Endicott. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Johnson City. The family will receive friends at the Allen Memorial Home Tuesday from 11:30 am until service time at 1 pm. Expressions of sympathy in Chuck’s memory may be made to The Humane Society, 167 Conklin Avenue, Binghamton, NY 13903.
