Christine Love-Berkel

Christine B. Love-Berkel, 87, of Endicott, passed away peacefully with her daughter by her side on Tuesday January 30, 2018 at Good Shepherd Village in Endwell. She is predeceased by a previous husband, Lester Love; husbands, Alfred Nelson and James Berkel; grandson, Jordan Love; great-grand daughter, Phoebe Love; brother, Merton Ketchum. Christine is survived by her four children, Susan (Frank) Roma, Karl (Anita) Love, Daniel Love (Paula Wehling), Kurt (Deicy) Love; six grandchildren, Tina Love (Christopher Hawes), Jamie Love, Leana (Matthew) Fabian, Julie Roma (Matt Ricci), Alycia and Marissa Love; five great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Marie Ketchum; several nieces, nephews and cousins; special friend Ed Stone. She was a member of the Endwell United Methodist Church. Christine worked as a self-employed hair dresser for 20 years. After retirement she spent 27 winters in Venice FL, where she always found peace at the beach. She enjoyed traveling and caring for others. Her greatest joy was being with her family, whom she loved with all her heart. Christine was a loving mother to all of her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Her family will carry her love forever, she taught them the importance of family and strong faith. The family would like to thank the Staff at Good Shepherd Village in Endwell for their loving care and compassion of Christine for the last 6 years.
Funeral services will be held Friday 11 am at the Endwell United Methodist Church, 3301 Watson Blvd, Endwell. Burial will be in Riverhurst Cemetery, Endicott. The family will receive friends at the Allen Memorial Home, 511-513 East Main Street, Endicott Thursday from 5-7 pm and Friday at church from 10 am until service time at 11 am. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy in her memory may be made to the Endwell United Methodist Church.
