Clyde Miller

Clyde Richard Miller 65 of Newbury Park California passed away June 23, 2017 while hiking in the hills of Ventura County. Since moving to California several years ago Clyde became an avid hiker, hiking nearly every weekend. Clyde graduated from Vestal High School Vestal, NY and The University of Miami. After graduating from college, he was part owner of Finger Lakes Music in Ithaca, NY. He moved on to executive positions at Sam Ash Music in California and New York City and finally back to California with The Guitar Center in West Lake Village. In addition to having a passion for hiking, Clyde was a lifelong musician and drummer. He was predeceased by his parents Clyde and Genevieve Miller. He is survived by his sister Rhoda Sheret (Bernie), niece Lori Swartz and family, nephew James Sheret and family and many lifelong friends. Clyde was a selfless and loving person who will be missed by all who knew him.
Service for Clyde will be held at the Allen Memorial Home 511-513 Main Street, Endicott Saturday August 26th at 11 am. The family will receive friends at the Allen Memorial Home Saturday from 10 am until service time at 11 am. Burial will be in Vestal Park and Cemetery following the service. In lieu of flowers donations in Clyde’s name can be made to the Ventura County Sheriff’s Department Rescue Team #3 2101 East Olsen Road, Thousand Oaks, CA. 91360.
