Craig Johnson

Our beloved husband, brother, and friend Craig Herrick Johnson, age 71, passed away unexpectedly in his home in Nashville, Tennessee on Saturday, October 7, 2023.
Craig Herrick Johnson was born on June 11, 1952 in Binghamton, NY to his loving mother, Helen Siloman and father, Herrick Johnson. Craig’s stepdad, Claude Siloman, introduced him to deep sea fishing and was an amazing influence in Craig’s life. Craig loved playing golf with the best brother Charles Johnson and his wonderful friend, Dave Mayes. It was always quite a party when those three got together.
Craig’s interest in woodworking and carpentry started in high school. He enjoyed traveling to the Far East for his job as Director of Import Operations with Endicott Johnson. During his 43 wonderful years of marriage to Lee Johnson, they loved their annual trips to Satellite Beach, FL and working on their homes in Endwell, NY and then in Brentwood, TN. Craig and Lee were perfect for each other and their marriage was a blessing. JoAnne and LeRoy Wayman have been their best friends for over 50 years and were there for Craig and Lee ,no matter what. Craig loved their daughters, Andrea and Lorraine.
In 2005, Ci Ci Marie stole Craig’s heart when their rescue kitty joined the family. Craig doted on their new love and spoiled her endlessly. She was his girl! Ci was a pistol, just like her dad. Their hearts were broken in 2020 when Ci-Sweet Pea went to heaven. Ci Ci will be entombed with her best guy, Craig.
Craig is survived by his loving wife; his siblings, Charles (Peg) Johnson of Binghamton, NY, his sister, Sally (Tom) Parisot and her children, Rochelle and John; his brothers-in-law, Rick (Nancy) Columbia and their children Mike, Cindy and Reid, Paul (Kay) Columbia, Mike Columbia and his twin daughters, April and Abby, Tom (Gail) Columbia and their sons, Adam and Connor; and nephews Scott (Shella) Columbia, John (Jenn) Columbia, and their daughters Cierra Brown and Carley Columbia; and nieces Kimberly Auster, and Michelle Cedrone; great friends Dave (Sue) Mayes, and Chris and Meg Chwirut of Brentwood, TN. He is predeceased by his loving parents, beloved brother-in-law, Tim Columbia, and amazing friend, Bob French.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday 12 pm at Allen Memorial Home 511-513 East Main Street, Endicott. Friends and family may visit with the family at Allen Memorial Home, Wednesday from 10 am until service time at 12 pm. He will be laid to rest Riverhurst Cemetery, Endicott, NY.
