David “Dave” Zelesnikar

David James Zelesnikar, 71, finished his journey on Friday, May 19th surrounded by his family.
Dave was predeceased by his Parents Hank and Betty Zelesnikar, father-in-law Marty Kadylak and sister-in-law Kathy Kadylak.
He is survived by his loving wife Christine of 49 years, his sons and their wives, Nate and Becky Zelesnikar, Keith and Shalee Zelesnikar and Matthew and Kacy Zelesnikar. His beloved grandchildren, Luke and Annabelle, Bailey and Maddison and Henry and Emagene. His sister Kate and brother-in-law Bill. Mother-in-law Emogene Kadylak, the Kucera, Vojtisek and Kadylak families. Dave was avid outdoorsmen and loved hunting and fishing. He lived for long rides on his Harley Davidison and was a passionate New York Yankees and Giants fan. He was a dedicated husband, father, and grandfather. He coached his children through years of youth sports and rarely missed an event. The Zelesnikar house was always open, and Dave made everyone feel like part of the family. We would like to thank the Wilson CVICU team for their exceptional care and support.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated 11:30 am, Monday, May 29th at St. James Church, 147 Main Street, Johnson City. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Johnson City, at the convenience of the family. The family will receive friends at church Monday the 29th from 10 am until Mass time at 11:30 am. In lieu of flowers the family askes that donations be made in his name to The Humane Society and/or St. Jude.
