Diane Bidwell

Diane D. Bidwell, born, April 23, 1935 of Vestal passed away on June 4, 2015 at Wilson Memorial Hospital after suffering a stroke on April 4th. Diane was predeceased by her parents, Robert and Blanche Deuel and her son, Richard Bidwell. She is survived by her husband of more than 60 years, Jack Bidwell; her daughter-in-law, Florence Bidwell; daughters, Robin Miklosovic, Renee (Peter) Arnold, and Rebecca (Greg) Bendert; 12 grandchildren, Brandi (Todd), Kamber (Scott), Joshua, Kyle (Lisa), Meghan (Ryan), John, Kolin, Emily, Jacob, Hannah, Hogan, and Madison; five great-grandchildren, with one on the way; her brother, Robert (Kay) Deuel; and sister-in-law, Judy Lehr. Diane graduated from Union Endicott High School in 1953 and worked for a short period at IBM, before taking time off to raise her family. She returned to the workforce in 1972 to work beside her husband at the family business for more than 20 years. Thereafter, she worked in the school system until she retired in 2000. Diane had a wonderful life and was able to travel the world with the one she loved. She greatly enjoyed her time spent with her family, and it was rare that she missed one of her grandchildren’s sporting events. She enjoyed reading, crocheting, walking, and quiet moments with her dear Jack. At Diane’s wishes there will be no calling hours.
A celebration of Diane’s life will be held on Tuesday, June 9th at 2 pm at First United Methodist Church, 53 McKinley Avenue, Endicott, with the Reverend Dale Austin officiating. Burial will be at Vestal Hills at the convenience of the family.
