Our beloved mother, Dina Pazzaglini (Albertini), age 97, of Endwell, New York, fell into eternal sleep in the Lord on March 9, 2018. Dina lived a long and graced life and is survived by her children: Celeste Pazzaglini-Mack (Robert) of Endwell, New York, and Dr. Peter Pazzaglini and Elissa D’Elia, both of New York City. She was blessed with two grandchildren, Connor and Colin Mack. Dina is predeceased by her dear son, Dr. Mario Pazzaglini Jr., and her devoted husband, Mario Pazzaglini, along with her parents, Giovanni Battista and Leonilda Albertini and her brother, Raymond Albertini. Dina’s passion was to convey her love of reading to children and volunteered for nearly 50 years building the library at Saint Anthony’s School in Endicott which was dedicated in her name. In recognition of her faithful and distinguished service, Dina received awards from the New York State Federation of Catholic School Parents for her volunteer work in the Catholic School Apostolate, St. Anthony’s Learning Center and St. Anthony of Padua School. She was married for over 50 years and devoted her life to raising her four children. She loved to cook and entertain friends and family in her home, keeping the traditions of her Italian culture alive for her family and generations to come. She instilled the value of education in her children all of whom had careers in service to their communities: Dr. Mario Pazzaglini, clinical psychologist and professor at the University of Delaware and Thomas Jefferson Medical School, Dr. Peter Pazzaglini, professor of history at Columbia University, Elissa D’Elia, teacher and adjunct lecturer in New York City, Celeste Pazzaglini-Mack, registered nurse at United Health Services, and her husband, Robert Mack, Councilman at Town of Union. Dina’s legacy for living well with both purpose and passion will continue in the work of her children. The family would like to thank the staff at Mercy House and Ideal for their support and dedication. The family will receive friends on March 16, 2018 at Saint Anthony of Padua Church in Endicott from 10:00 A.M. - 11:30 A.M. and a funeral mass will follow. A private burial will be held at Calvary Cemetery at a later day. Expressions of sympathy in Dina’s name can be made to Mercy House, 212 North McKinley Ave., Endicott, NY 13760 or St. Anthony’s Learning Center, 906 Jenkins Street, Endicott, NY, 13760.
