Dolores M. Wortman, 85, of Endwell entered into eternal rest surrounded by her loving family on Wednesday, September 22, 2021. She was predeceased by her beloved husband, James L. Wortman; parents, Joseph and Stella Del Losso; her brother, Joseph Del Losso; and most recently her favorite pet and walking companion, Maggie. She is survived by her loving children, Linda and Jim Cerra, Apalachin, Carol Wortman, Alexandria, VA, David Wortman, Wellington FL and Brian Wortman, Endicott; two grandchildren, Dustina Wortman and Jenna Wortman; several nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was a member of Church of the Holy Family, Endwell, and the former Christ the King Church, Endwell. Dolores was an active member of Christ the King Church for over 35 years. She was proud of being a founding volunteer of the original fish fry dinners. She helped to establish the Ladies Guild, was a member of the choir and Discalced Carmelite Group. She retired as bookkeeper from Christ the King Church. One of her great passions was cake decorating with her best friend of over 55 years, Ronnie. Not a wedding or anniversary went by for family or friends without a cake decorated with their love.
Funeral Services will be held Tuesday at 9:15 am from the Allen Memorial Home, 511-513 East Main Street, Endicott, followed by a Funeral Mass at Church of the Holy Family 3600 Phyllis Street, Endwell, at 10 am. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Johnson City. The family will receive friends at the Allen Memorial Home Monday from from 4-6 pm. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy in Dolores’ memory may be made to Mercy House of the Southern Tier, 212 N. McKinley Avenue, Endicott, NY 13760.
