Donald “Don” Johnston

Donald L. Johnston, 83 of Endicott passed away on Tuesday, January 9, 2018 at Mercy House. He is predeceased by his parents George and Mary; brothers Edward, Frank, Reamer, Art and Harry and one sister Bertha Kouterick . He is survived by his loving spouse of 62 years Philomena. He is survived by four children Arleen Johnston, Endicott, NY, Scott Johnston (Patty); son Logan, Toms River, NJ, Laura Johnston, North Venice, FL, Donald Johnston (Deanne); son Brandon and daughter Kamryn, Endwell NY; also many nieces and nephews. Donald graduated from Union-Endicott High School in 1952. He was in the Army Medical Corp serving 2 years in Germany. He worked at I.B.M. Endicott for 39 years and was a member of the Quarter Century Club. After retiring he worked at Endicott Florist. Golf and hunting was his passion and joy in his life. He belongs to Our Lady of Good Counsel Church.
The family will receive friends at the Allen Memorial Home, 511-513 East Main Street, Saturday from 11 am to 2 pm. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to Mercy House or a charity of your choice in Donald’s memory.
