Do not let your heart be troubled; believe in God, believe also in Me. In My Father’s house are many dwelling places; if it were not so, I would have told you; for I go to prepare a place for you.
Donna B. (Coyne) Duffek, age 87 of Endicott left her earthly home on April 13, 2023, with her children by her side, to be with her Lord and Savior in heaven.
Donna was born March 30, 1936 at Ideal Hospital, Endicott, NY. She was raised by her parents Clifton and Beulah (Warner) Coyne on a small farm in Campville, NY, where she attended a one room school house and later transitioned to Union Endicott HS where she graduated in 1953.
Donna was predeceased by her life-long love and husband Frank P. Duffek of 66 years of marriage.
Donna was the bookkeeper at A&P Grocery Store in Union until she became a stay-at-home mom to care for her seven children. When her children started to leave home, Mom worked at Best Western Hotel, Castle Gardens Assisted Living and volunteered at Our Lady of Sorrows Seton Campus in the cafeteria. Later in life, she and Frank moved to the country where they raised beef cattle. Donna exemplified the hard-working, fearless and old fashion values her children and grandchildren most remember her for.
Donna was the matriarch of her family, a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Mom taught us the little things in life could bring us the most satisfaction and joy. Mom loved the simple things in life – sewing, cooking, baking, and holidays/celebrations is where she shined the best. Your love and guidance made us who we are today. Our cherished memories will remain in our hearts forever. Mom’s life reflected her faith in Jesus. She was a life time member of the Endicott Assembly of God in Vestal Center, where she was involved in many ministries.
Donna was predeceased by her parents Clifton and Beulah Coyne, sister Lois Webster, brother Neal Coyne and brother-in-law Roger Bryan.
Donna is survived by her children Roxanne (William) Tennant of New Milford, PA; Jeanette (George) Fondren of Lake Park, NC; Shelly (John) Stoddard of Newark Valley, NY; Frank P (Lorie Lorence) Duffek, Endwell, NY; Chris (Michelle) Duffek of Newark Valley, NY; Tim (Judy) Duffek of Endicott, NY and Dawne (Lenny) Perfetti of Endicott, NY. She is also survived by many grandchildren and great grandchildren, as well as her brother Clifton (Kip) Heidie Coyne, sister Linda Bryan and many nieces and nephews.
