Donna Wetzel

Donna M. Wetzel passed peacefully into the hands of her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on February 5, 2015, after a long illness. She is predeceased by her father George Koffel. She is survived by her husband Chuck of 38 years of wonderful marriage; 2 great children, Matthew and Mary Wetzel; a grandson Derek whom he called “Mei-mei”; her mother Ella Mae (Nana) Koffel; two sisters, Judy Wood and Pat Phanor; several nieces, aunts and uncles. Donna was a graduate of Maine-Endwell High School and Broome Community College and applied her skills in the teaching, training and homeschooling her two children. She was an avid seamstress and loved making doll clothes and accessories for her crafting business, The Dolly Donna. She participated in many craft shows yearly, displaying her doll clothes and homemade doll furniture. Donna was employed by Joann Fabrics for 10 years and enjoyed shopping within the store to create new crafting ideas for her business. She honestly loved her job. She took great delight in weekly Bible studies with her husband and made every effort to share her faith in the gospel with others. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Funeral Services will be held Wednesday 4 pm from the Allen Memorial Home, 511-513 East Main Street, Endicott, with the Reverend Paul Blasko officiating. The family will receive friends at the Allen Memorial Home Wednesday from 2 pm until service time at 4 pm.
