Doris Lynn Hill

Doris Lynn Hill, loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend, of Endicott, NY, passed away at her home on Sunday, October 31, 2021, at the age of 71. Doris is predeceased by her mother and father, Vera & Alfred Bynes; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Beverly & Wilbur Hill; sisters, Deborah Connelly & Jeanne Weidner; brother-in-laws, Christopher Connelly & Kurt Weidner. Doris is survived by her loving husband of 51 years, Russell Hill; son, Russell Hiil and wife, Dawn; daughter, Kimberly Rainforth and husband, Jeff; grandchildren, Megan, Brendan, Bryan, Leah & Zach; as well as many nieces, nephews, sister-in- laws, brother-in-laws, and friends. Doris, our beautiful & sweet, kind & loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother & friend. Doris lived her life helping others. She loved with her whole self and gave of herself so freely. All those who knew her, loved her, and left her presence feeling the love she exuded. Doris was a loving and dedicated daughter, wife, mother, sister, grandma, and friend. She was always there for her family-providing for all, loving with her whole heart, encouraging in all capacities, always letting her loved ones know that she was there. How do we accept this loss of someone we love so much? And how do we move on? When our hearts hurt so deeply…and the tears just keep coming…? We continue to Love. We continue to remember. We continue to make memories because we know that memories bring us happiness. We carry her with us everywhere we go. We hear her voice. We hear her laugh. We ask ourselves, “What would she say?” We feel within our beings all that she gave to us~ Whether we were her child, her husband, her sister, her brother, or her friend… she gave us so very much. She cared. Boy did she care! Always putting everyone else before herself. She loved us all with every ounce of her being. Everyone who knew her was truly, truly blessed. And those who never met her, still know what an amazing woman she was. No matter how much you told Doris that you loved her, she always won with Love You More! Just ask her grandchildren! How blessed we all have been to have known her and to have had her as a part of our journey.
Funeral Services for Doris will be held on Monday at 12 PM at the Allen Memorial Home, 511-513 E. Main Street, Endicott. Burial will be in Vestal Hills Memorial Park. The family will receive friends on Monday at the Allen Memorial Home from 11 AM until Service time at 12 PM.
