Doris (Barnfather) Simielo

Doris (Barnfather) Simielo, 95, of Endicott passed away Sunday, October 17, 2021. She was born in London, England to George and Mary Robinson. She was predeceased by her husbands Percy Barnfather and Michel Simielo, siblings Patricia Beal, Sylvia Allen and Roy Robinson. She is survived by a son Gary (Linda) Barnfather and a daughter Lynne (Michael) Bertoni; grandchildren Julie (Walt) Fedroff, Adam Barnfather, Michael (Lea) Bertoni, Katie (Scott Ayres) Bertoni, Michael (Cathie) DeLuca, Melissa (William) Stock; great grandchildren Ryan and Ella Fedroff, Michael Bertoni III, Maximus and Anthony DeLuca, Noah and Ethan Stock, best friend and caregiver Kim VanFossen, whom she loved very much. Also several nieces and nephews in England. She cherished her family above all else.
Doris was a war bride, marrying Percy in Norfolk, England before immigrating to the United States in 1947, and settling in Endicott, NY. She retired from United Health Services after many years of caring for others. Doris was a founding member of an English Club, where she made many lifelong dear friends, that she cherished. She was a sweetheart and gentle soul, who loved everyone she met, and was loved by all. Doris will be greatly missed.
Services will be held Friday 2 pm from the Allen Memorial Home, 511-513 East Main Street, Endicott. The family will receive friends at the Allen Memorial Home Friday from 12:30 pm until service time at 2 pm.
