Dorothy M. Klein of Endwell, New York passed away at 95 years old on March 11, 2025. She was predeceased by her loving husband Frank Klein. She is survived by her children Debra (Richard) Gabrielson, Frank (Kathy) Klein, Dorothy Matt (Doug Dyrek) and Virginia Klein. She also is survived by many Grandchildren. Eric (Debbie) Gabrielson, Joel Gabrielson, Michael (Lindsay) Klein, Coreen Klein (Brian Quinn) Stephen (Stephanie) Klein, Charlet (Dan) Willis, Adam (Julia) Murhammer, Paula Matt (Sean Mahoney), Gretchen Matt, Rebecca Matt (Aly Massey), and many Great Grandchildren: Gunnar, Camille, Clifford, Cooper, Dexter, Gretchen, Orla, Tripp, Cal, and Sullivan.
In her early years she worked as a Registered Nurse in a Psychiatric hospital in Connecticut where she met her husband. She took up golf as a hobby after her husband started playing. She didn’t want to become a “golf widow”. She soon surpassed her husband in her skill for the game. She celebrated more than one hole in one! Her love for yoga kept her healthy. She enjoyed playing Bridge and developed many friendships through playing the game. She was a member of Church of the Holy Family in Endwell.
Funeral Services for Dorothy will be held on Saturday at 11am at the Allen Memorial Home, 511-513 E. Main Street, Endicott. Entombment will be at the convenience of the family in Riverhurst Cemetery, Endicott. The family will receive friends on Saturday at the Allen Memorial Home from 10am until Service time at 11am.
In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy in her memory may be made to Church of the Holy Family, 3600 Phyllis Street, Endwell, NY 13760.
