Edward “Ed” Marthens

Ed, as he was best known, passed away Monday May 11, 2015 at the Suncoast Hospice in Palm Harbor, Florida at the age of 91. Ed leaves behind his high school sweetheart and wife of 72 years Elizabeth Jean Cairns, daughter Lisa and son Todd. William was wounded while serving in the USMC 4th division during W. W. II on Saipan in the Pacific. A 43 year veteran of IBM and many musical groups including dance bands, orchestras and the IBM band.
Committal Services will be held Tuesday 11:30 am at Riverhurst Cemetery, East Main Street, Endicott. The family will receive friends at the Allen Memorial Home, 511-513 East Main Street, Endicott Monday from 5-8 pm.
