Eileen Pineau

Eileen Teresa (Meade) Pineau, 86, died peacefully at St. Theresa Care Facility in Cincinnati, Ohio on January 14, 2017. Eileen was born to Joseph and Anna Meade in Brooklyn, NY in 1931. She married Germain (Jerry) Pineau in 1952 at St. Sylvester’s Catholic Church in Brooklyn. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jerry, their daughter, Kathleen (Pineau) Joerger and their grandson, Matthew Pineau. She is survived by her children: Joseph (Anna, IL), James and Kathy Pineau (Raleigh, NC), John (Dublin, OH) and Eileen and Steve Schlosser (Cincinnati, OH); 11 grandchildren: Michael, Elizabeth, and John Pedro; Daniel, Hannah, Allison, Kaitlin, and Kyle Pineau; Anna, Mary, and Joseph Schlosser and three great-grandchildren: Ryan, Sean, and Naomi. Eileen was a long time parishioner of Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church in Vestal, New York. She and Jerry were dedicated supporters of the Catholic Schools of Broome County.

A Memorial Mass will be offered Monday, 10 am from Our Lady of Sorrows Church, Vestal. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery Johnson City. In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions to the Knights of Columbus Council 4746 P.O. Box 326 Vestal N.Y. 13851-0326. Please note that it is for the Pineau Academic Scholarship fund.
