Elawanda Ayers

Elawanda S. Ayers, 85, retired long term employee of AmeriGas, left this earth to join her Lord and Savior Saturday, November 22, 2104. Wanda was born to Everett O. and Dorothy Shew France in Binghamton, NY. She was a member of the Johnson City, Calvary Community Church. Wanda had a love for gardening and was handy at carpentry. She spent time with her many nieces and nephews and had a hand in raising some of them, and was known for always giving of her time to everyone. She was predeceased by her husband Robert and brothers Everett France and Dale France. Survivors include seven brothers and sisters, brothers in law and sisters in law, Sharon Manarky; Dixie (Gary) Knickerbocker; Pam (Randy) Paton; Penny (Jim) Hirst; Harlan (Sue), Doug and Robin Ayers; also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
At Wanda’s request, there will be a private family celebration of her life, officiated by the pastor of Calvary Community Church. Burial will be in Vestal Hills Memorial Park Cemetery.
