Eleanor Anderson

Eleanor Anderson, 89, of Endicott passed away peacefully on February 16, 2023. She was predeceased by her parents Merle and Helen Matteson, husband Louis Anderson, brothers Martin Matteson and Marvin Matteson, and sisters Shirley Cliff and Bunnie Moore. She is survived by two daughters Tina Brown and Kim Howell (Doug); two sons Randy Anderson (Jennifer) and Shawn Anderson (Lori); nine grandchildren and ten great grandchildren; one brother Maynard Matteson and one sister Doris Wright. Also several nieces, nephews and cousins. Ellie was a retired waitress and passed along her strong work ethic to her children. She had a love for playing bingo, frequent trips to casinos, fishing, bowling, building puzzles, bird watching, turning on the backyard light to see what critters were out, and stopping at The Topper for a “one and done” Coors Light. She loved nothing more than being a devoted wife and spending time with her family (especially during the holidays). The family would like to thank the staff of South 1 at Willow Point Nursing Home for their loving care the past three years.

The family will receive friends Tuesday, February 21st, from 4 to 6 pm at the Allen Memorial Home, 511-513 East Main Street, Endicott. A private burial will take place at Maine Cemetery at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy in her memory may be made to The American Heart Association.
