Eleanor Cole

Eleanor J. Cole, 88, of Vestal, passed away on Sunday January 23, 2022 at UHS Wilson Hospital, Johnson City. She was predeceased by her husband Jesse Cole Jr.
Born in Johnson City, NY on February 15, 1933 she was the daughter of Joseph and Mary Fitzgerald.
She is survived by her children, Michele (Tom) Ryan, Friendsville, PA, Pat Cole, Vestal, NY, Jim (Julie) Cole, Friendsville, PA, Mary Kingsley, Tunkhannock, PA, Sue (Randy) Blaisure, Montrose, PA, and Mike (Brenda) Lovette-Cole, Kailua, HI; grandchildren Candy(Craig) Ferris, Justin (Shelly) Cole, Cheyanne Cole, Bill(Carrie) Blaisure, Tom (Tes) Blaisure and great-grandchildren Caitlin Ferris and Caleb Cole.
She was also predeceased by her son John Cole, her sisters Mary Lorraine Andrew and Rosemary Barron as well as her brothers Joseph, John, and William Fitzgerald.
Eleanor was retired from I.B.M. She was a long-time member of St. Francis Xavier Church, Friendsville, Pa. and later Our Lady of Sorrows Church, Vestal, NY. She was a devoted mother who loved her children unconditionally and leaves behind beautiful memories. She had a great love of flowers and the outdoors and also loved to travel having made numerous trips to Hawaii and Europe. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Friday 10:30 am at St. Francis Xavier Church, 726 Main Street, Friendsville, PA. The family will receive friends at church Friday from 9:30 am until Mass time at 10:30 am. Burial will be in St. Francis Xavier Cemetery, at the convenience of the family.
