Eleanor Fotouhi passed away peacefully at her home of over 60 years with family members at her side. She was predeceased by her husband of 64 years, Abol Hassan Fotouhi, MD FACS, her youngest daughter Renee Fotouhi, her two brothers, Samuel and Charles Page and her sister and brother-in-law, Betty and Paul Lomonaco. Mrs. Fotouhi was a long-standing member of the First Presbyterian Church where she served as an elder. As a member of the Binghamton Club, she was a fierce competitor at bridge. She was a past President of the Monday Afternoon Club/Phelps Mansion, where she served on numerous committees. For many years she was a devoted member of the Tri-Cities Opera Guild, serving on the board. She was a faithful supporter of the arts in Broome County. Throughout her life she was a tireless champion for the causes and those she loved. For nearly half a century she managed her husband’s medical practice back office, and other business interests. An elegant and beautiful woman, Mrs. Fotouhi was full of life, laughter and relentless about keeping in shape. She particularly loved traveling with her husband.
